10e Solutions BIAS Installation Instructions

These instructions consist of the following sections:

Pre-installation check to determine whether you have the appropriate version of Windows installer
Pre-installation check to determine whether you have an appropriate version of .NET Framework installed on your computer
BIAS installation procedure that includes downloading and installing the application, requesting a BIAS account, configuring BIAS and checking connectivity

Windows Installer Check

If you are unsure of the version of your Windows installer package, the link below will download a small utility program to check the version of the windows installer that is present on your system.
Once you click the link:

You will be prompted to Open or Save the file, choose Open.
You will be prompted to Run the file or not, choose to Run the file.
When the program runs a popup box will be presented with the version of the installer on your system.
Ensure that the installer version is 3.1 or higher

Windows Installer Check - when prompted choose Open and then Run.

If you DO NOT have version 3.1 or greater, download the latest installer from the Microsoft website and install it on your computer.

.NET Framework Version Check

This page automatically detects whether your computer has the correct version of the .NET Framework necessary for the latest install of BIAS. The .NET framework is required to run BIAS and it is a ONE TIME install.

If you need to install a newer version of the .NET Framework (from Microsoft), a link for downloading .NET Framework appears at the bottom of this page.
If the correct version of .NET Framework is installed on your computer, a message appears indicating that your computer has a suitable version installed and a link for downloading BIAS appears at the bottom of this page.
