Downloading & installing the BIAS application

1) To start the download, select the Download the BIAS Client link that appears below these instructions.
A window opens asking whether you want to run or save the file.


2) Click Run.
A Security Warning window opens.


3) Click Run.
The Installation Wizard window opens.


4) Click Next.
The Destination Folder window opens.


5) Click Next.
The Configure Database window opens.


6) In the Database Data Source field on the Configure Database window, enter 10.176.91.36.

7) Click Next.
The BIAS Service Configuration window opens.


8) In the BIAS Service field on the BIAS Service Configuration window, enter 10.176.91.38.

9) Click Next.
The Completion Window opens.

10) Click Finish.

Requesting a BIAS account

When you install the BIAS application, a BIAS icon like the one below appears on your desktop.


1) Double-click the BIAS icon to open the application.
The Login window opens.


2) Select the Request Access link.
The Request Access window opens.


3) On the Request Access window, fill in the following data and click Send.
First Name Enter your first name
Last Name Enter your last name
Domain Leave this field blank
User Name Enter your network login ID
My Email Address Enter your email address
New Password Enter a valid password
Confirm Password Re-enter new password
Additional Comments (Optional)Enter any additional comments intended for 10eSolutions Support staff

4) Click Send.
An email confirmation window opens.


NOTE: Clicking OK will generate an email to the Support Staff at 10eSolutions. They will process the request within the defined service window. A confirmation email will be sent to you from 10e Solutions informing you of the account authorization. If you have questions or concerns, you can send an email to Support@10esolutions.com

5) Click OK.

Configuring the BIAS application & checking connectivity

Once you receive the email confirming that you have a BIAS account, you can set up the BIAS application and verify connectivity.

1) Double-click the BIAS icon on your desktop.
The Login window opens.


2) On the Login window, fill in the fields with the following data.
User Name Enter the ID you used on the Request Access form
Password Enter the ID you used on the Request Access form
Remember Choose the option of your choice


3) Click OK.
The BIAS Splash Screen appears and remains displayed while the application loads.


4) On the BIAS menu bar, select the Configurations option, then select the User Preferences option.
The User Preferences window opens so you can select the Smart Grids that you want displayed in the Navigation Console on the Dashboard.


5) Double-click the checkbox next to each Smart Grid that you want listed in the Navigation Console, then click Save.
The Informational Dialog window opens.


6) Click OK to close the Informational Dialog window.

7) Close the User Preferences window.

8) On the Dashboard menu bar, select the Actions option, then select the Refresh Navigation Console option.
NOTE: This will refresh the Navigation Console so it displays the Smart Grids that you selected on the User Preferences window.

9) From the list in the Navigation Console, select Demo Smart Grid.
NOTE: If connectivity is established, a populated Smart Grid like the one below appears, displaying the count of T-Mobile users. For more information on using BIAS, please refer to the BIAS Online Help. To access the online help from within BIAS, select the Help option, then select the BIAS Online Help option.
